China Extends 30-Day Visa-Free Entry for 45 Countries Until 2026 to Boost International Travel

China, El Sky News – China has confirmed the extension of its 30-day visa-free entry policy for travelers from 45 countries, a decision officially announced on 3 November 2025. The extended arrangement will remain in place until 31 December 2026, signaling China’s commitment to revitalizing global tourism and strengthening international mobility.

Under this policy, eligible visitors may enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days for tourism, business, family visits, cultural exchanges, and transit. The update also includes the addition of Sweden, which will join the visa-free program beginning 10 November 2025.

The expanded list of participating nations covers a wide range of European countries, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and several nations in Latin America and the Gulf. By maintaining this simplified entry process, China aims to attract more international tourists, encourage business travel, and support long-term recovery across the travel and hospitality sectors.

Travel analysts view the extension as a strategic move that can increase inbound tourism and make China one of the more accessible destinations in Asia for foreign travelers through 2026. With growing interest in cross-border travel, the country’s visa-free initiative is expected to play a major role in shaping regional tourism trends in the coming year.
