Santiago, El Sky News – Malaysia’s junior women’s hockey team opened their campaign at the 2025 Women’s Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile, with a 1–4 loss to Japan on 2 December 2025. The Japanese team quickly dominated, scoring three goals within the first ten minutes through Yoshida Rei, Saiti Hanami, and Tabuchi Sena, before Usi Ayano added a fourth in the 56th minute.
