Headmaster and Nurse Found Dead in Sri Aman Home; Police Launch Murder Probe

SRI AMAN, El Sky News — A cloud of grief has settled over the community of Taman Mutiara here after a married couple was discovered dead in their residence early Wednesday morning. Authorities have confirmed that the case is being investigated as a double homicide.

The Discovery

The grim scene was reportedly uncovered by the couple’s children at approximately 6:55 AM. Upon receiving the distress call, officers from the Sri Aman District Police Headquarters (IPD) rushed to the scene at Jalan Brayun, where they found the victims with severe injuries.

The Victims

The victims have been identified as a 45-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife.

  • The husband served as the Headmaster of Sekolah Kebangsaan (AK) Sbangki in Lubok Antu.
  • The wife was a dedicated healthcare professional working as a nurse.

Official Police Statement

Sarawak Police Commissioner, Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, confirmed that the investigation is currently active.

“We are investigating the matter under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Our forensic and investigative teams are working to establish the motive behind this tragic incident,” he stated.

Public Appeal for Information

As of now, no suspects have been named. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
