The improved quarterly performance highlights the continued strength of Malaysia’s largest minimarket chain, supported by resilient demand for daily necessities, a growing store network and better operating efficiency. The company’s first-quarter revenue rose to RM3.07 billion, compared with RM2.61 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

The company also said it is broadening its product offerings across outlets, including selected small electrical appliances, to provide greater convenience and meet evolving customer needs. This strategy is expected to strengthen its position in the Malaysian retail market as consumers continue to look for value, convenience and affordability.

To maintain customer appeal, 99 Speed Mart said it will continue strengthening its “four items for RM10” promotional campaign while further enhancing the 99 Bulksales platform. These initiatives are aimed at offering better value to customers at a time when many consumers are becoming more price-conscious.

Looking ahead, 99 Speed Mart expects demand for essential items to remain stable, supported by daily necessities consumption and relatively contained inflation. However, the group noted that external factors such as global commodity price fluctuations and logistics costs could remain potential headwinds.

The latest result reinforces 99 Speed Mart’s position as one of Malaysia’s key retail players, particularly in the minimarket segment.
