Malaysia Launches Real-Time Dashboard to Monitor Global Supply Crisis Impact

Kuala Lumpur, — In a proactive move to strengthen economic resilience amid ongoing global uncertainties, Malaysia has officially rolled out a new digital platform designed to track the real-time effects of worldwide supply chain disruptions on the national economy.

The Global Supply Crisis Monitoring Dashboard, developed jointly by the Ministry of Economy and the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), serves as an integrated system that provides near real-time insights into critical economic indicators. The platform aims to help policymakers, businesses, and the public better understand and respond to external shocks affecting Malaysia.

Key features of the dashboard include:

  • Daily tracking of crude oil spot prices (in US dollars per barrel), which directly influence domestic fuel prices, subsidy burdens, and overall energy costs.
  • Analysis of petroleum trade performance and developments in global supply chains, with the most recent data covering February to March 2026.
  • Monitoring of cost of living movements, commodity and global market price fluctuations, trade flows, and broader economic trends.

The initiative is seen as a significant step toward data-driven governance. By offering transparent and timely information, the government hopes to enable faster decision-making, improve supply chain stability, and support more effective policy responses during periods of international volatility.

“The dashboard reflects our commitment to enhancing transparency and strengthening economic planning through reliable, accessible data,” said a joint statement from the Ministry of Economy and DOSM.

The platform is now publicly accessible at https://pantaukrisis.gov.my/. Users can also scan a QR code provided in the official announcement to visit the site directly.

This launch comes at a time when global supply chains continue to face pressures from geopolitical tensions, energy market volatility, and shifting trade dynamics. Malaysian authorities believe the new tool will play a vital role in safeguarding the economy against future external disruptions.

The dashboard is expected to be regularly updated with fresh data to maintain its relevance for both strategic planning and public awareness.
