Zeekr 009 Grand And Zeekr 9X To Make Malaysian Debut At KLIMS 2026

KUALA LUMPUR,June, 2026 – Zeekr Malaysia is set to bring two of its most aspirational models to the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, with the Zeekr 009 Grand and Zeekr 9X scheduled to make their Malaysian debut at the event.

The two models will be displayed at MITEC from June 12 to 21, 2026, marking an important showcase for Zeekr’s premium brand direction in the Malaysian market. According to Paul Tan’s Automotive News, the appearance is likely a preview rather than an immediate sales launch, as Zeekr Malaysia described both models as a glimpse into the brand’s future direction.

The Zeekr booth at KLIMS 2026 will feature five models in total. Apart from the new 009 Grand and 9X, Zeekr will also display its existing Malaysian models, including the Zeekr 009 MPV, Zeekr 7X SUV and 2026 Zeekr X.

The biggest highlight is the Zeekr 9X, a full-size luxury SUV that represents a major shift for the brand. It is Zeekr’s new flagship model and the first Zeekr vehicle to feature an internal combustion engine, moving the brand beyond its original EV-only identity.

The Zeekr 9X uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain built around Geely’s 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which produces 279 PS. Depending on the variant, the engine is paired with either a dual-motor or tri-motor electric setup.

In its most powerful form, the 9X delivers up to 1,400 PS and 1,410 Nm of torque, allowing the large luxury SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. This level of performance places it among the most powerful electrified SUVs expected to be shown in Malaysia.

Despite being a plug-in hybrid rather than a full EV, the Zeekr 9X is equipped with a 900V architecture and supports 6C ultra-fast charging. Battery options include 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh CATL battery packs, with an estimated CLTC electric-only range of around 300 km to 380 km. Combine1,200 km.

In terms of size, the Zeekr 9X is a genuinely large SUV. It measures 5,239 mm long and has a 3,169 mm wheelbase, giving it a strong road presence and a spacious six-seat layout. Its chrome-heavy front design, long bonnet and luxury-focused profile have earned it the nickname “Hangzhou Bay Cullinan.”

The second headline model is the Zeekr 009 Grand, an ultra-luxury version of the brand’s electric MPV. If the regular Zeekr 009 is positioned as a high-end rival to models such as the Toyota Alphard, the 009 Grand takes the concept further with a more exclusive four-seat layout.

The 009 Grand replaces the standard six- or seven-seat configuration with a 2+2 luxury cabin, featuring large rear captain’s chairs, a rear entertainment screen and premium cabin materials including Himalayan marble trim.

This setup positions the 009 Grand as a chauffeur-driven luxury MPV, aimed at buyers who prioritise rear-seat comfort, business-class space and a premium lounge-style cabin experience.

Performance is also strong for a luxury MPV. The Zeekr 009 Grand is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 788 PS and 810 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

Power comes from a 108 kWh CATL Qilin battery, supported by an 800V architecture. The model is rated at 702 km of CLTC range, making it a long-range luxury electric MPV designed for both comfort and performance.

The arrival of the Zeekr 009 Grand and Zeekr 9X at KLIMS 2026 is significant for Malaysia’s premium vehicle market. Both models show how Chinese luxury carmakers are moving beyond mainstream EVs into high-end segments traditionally dominated by European and Japanese brands.

For Zeekr, the two models help reinforce its positioning as a premium new energy vehicle brand under the wider Geely ecosystem. The brand is already active in Malaysia with models such as the Zeekr X, Zeekr 7X and Zeekr 009, but the 009 Grand and 9X represent a more aspirational side of the lineup.

The 9X is especially important because it shows Zeekr’s move into plug-in hybrids. This is notable because Malaysia’s premium SUV market still has strong demand for long-range vehicles, and PHEV technology can appeal to buyers who want electric driving capability without relying fully on charging infrastructure.

The 009 Grand, meanwhile, targets a different type of luxury buyer. Malaysia has a strong market for premium MPVs, especially among business owners, executives and chauffeur-driven users. A four-seat electric MPV with lounge-style comfort could give Zeekr a unique position in this space.

However, because both models are likely being shown as previews, Malaysian pricing, launch timing and final specifications have not yet been confirmed. Their KLIMS appearance will likely be used to gauge public response, build brand awareness and preview Zeekr’s future product direction.

KLIMS 2026 will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from June 12 to 21, with Zeekr located at Level 2, Booth 6B02-C. Event hours are 10am to 8pm from Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 10pm on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

the Malaysian debut of the Zeekr 009 Grand and Zeekr 9X at KLIMS 2026 signals Zeekr’s ambition to move deeper into the luxury vehicle segment. With the 009 Grand offering ultra-premium electric MPV comfort and the 9X bringing extreme PHEV SUV performance, Zeekr is using KLIMS to show how far its premium new energy vehicle strategy can go.
