Malaysia’s Durian Kingdom Earns Asia Records Recognition for Largest Durian Product Range

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 – Malaysian food brand Durian Kingdom has been officially recognised by The Asia Records for developing the largest range of downstream durian products in 2026.

The company received the title “Most Number of Durian Downstream Products in 2026,” marking a significant milestone for Malaysia’s growing value-added durian industry. An official recording ceremony for the recognition was held in Puchong, Selangor.

Durian Kingdom operates under Sunshine Kingdom Sdn Bhd and specialises in transforming Malaysian durian into products that can be consumed beyond the fruit’s traditional harvest season.

Founded in 2014, the brand has expanded from a relatively small product selection into a diversified food business serving both local and international markets.

Its portfolio includes durian biscuits, confectionery, chocolates, pastries, coffee, beverages, frozen products, freeze-dried snacks and gift sets.

Through this wide range, the company aims to make the distinctive taste of Malaysian durian more accessible to consumers throughout the year, rather than limiting consumption to fresh fruit during the durian season.

The recognition reflects not only the number of products developed by the company but also its continued focus on food innovation, manufacturing standards and the growth of Malaysian brands.

The Asia Records noted that expanding durian into downstream products could help reduce the industry’s reliance on seasonal fresh-fruit sales. It may also create additional opportunities in exports, tourism and premium food manufacturing.

Sunshine Kingdom founder Eddie Wong said the company was established with the goal of enabling consumers worldwide to enjoy the authentic flavour of Malaysian durian at any time.
