“No Such Thing as ‘Sondol-Menyondol’” — Bella Astillah Urges Netizens to Stop Attacking Ami Ilana

PETALING JAYA, El Sky News – Malaysian actress and singer Bella Astillah has spoken out following intense online criticism directed at Ami Ilana, a woman whom netizens had accused of being a “third party” in Bella’s relationship with Muar MP Syed Saddiq.

The issue escalated on social media after several users began labeling Ami with derogatory terms, including “penyondol” and “sondol-menyondol,” sparking widespread debate across entertainment platforms.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Bella clarified that the accusations were unfounded and urged the public to stop harassing Ami.

“All of this happened because certain individuals started calling Ami names without checking the facts. Many simply followed along and continued the attacks,” Bella explained.

She firmly denied claims that Ami was involved romantically with her husband.

“There is no such thing as ‘sondol-menyondol’ because she has been with BASS (Bella & Syed Saddiq) from the beginning  and Ami is not single,” Bella stated, stressing that the narrative created by netizens was completely inaccurate.

Bella also addressed online criticism involving Kak Tasha, another individual dragged into the controversy, saying that the situation had become unfair as it was beginning to affect personal and family matters.

“Please stop the harassment. Let’s move forward and be kind to one another. We are all doing well, and we love Mama,” Bella said, referring affectionately to Syed Saddiq’s mother.

The speculation first began when netizens noticed Ami frequently appearing with Bella and Syed Saddiq at public events and on social media, leading to assumptions of an inappropriate relationship assumptions Bella has now categorically dismissed.

The actress called for empathy and responsibility among social media users, reminding the public that careless accusations can cause significant emotional harm.
