Too Embarrassed to Keep Fighting, Someone Owes a Huge Debt in the Hereafter’ – Lufya Omar Withdraws Child Support Claim

KUALA LUMPUR, El Sky News – The beautiful actress and singer, Lufya Omar, 40, is once again in the spotlight after reports confirmed she has withdrawn the child maintenance claim she previously filed against her ex-husband, Dr. Che Muhammad Hafiz Che Baharum.

The surprising decision was confirmed by the Shariah lawyer representing Lufya during proceedings at the Shah Alam Shariah High Court recently.

Lufya, whose real name is Lutfyah Sheikh Omar, cited in a media statement that she felt “too embarrassing to continue fighting” for the rights of her only child, Laana Haura, 7.

“This is not about me losing or winning. This is about my dignity and peace of mind. I feel very ashamed to constantly argue in court, chasing a right that should come with a sense of responsibility.

“Enough is enough. I will surrender all matters of maintenance to God. I am confident that someone owes me a huge debt in the hereafter,” said a tearful Lufya, referring to the individual who needs to take responsibility.

Previously, the issue of Lufya’s maintenance claim against her ex-husband became a heated topic, especially after Lufya revealed the various efforts she had to undertake to ensure her child’s needs were met.

Lufya’s action to withdraw the claim is seen as a step to close the chapter on the prolonged turmoil, choosing instead to focus on her career and raising her only daughter.

The Muzikal Lawak Superstar actress stressed that her focus now is on earning a living herself to support their lives, and she opts not to extend the issue of financial demands any further.

Lufya and Dr. Che Muhammad Hafiz married in November 2016 and were confirmed divorced in June 2020. They were blessed with one daughter, Laana Haura.
