Proton Men’s Health Day: Selgate Eye Check-Up Booth by Dr. Nilani Supports Employee Wellness

Tanjung Malim El Sky News – At the Proton Men’s Health Day event held on 3 December, Dr. Nilani Mohamad Nawi, Consultant Ophthalmologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience, represented Selgate Healthcare in delivering on-site eye examinations for Proton employees. The booth offered immediate screenings without prior appointment requirements, aligning with the event’s objective to encourage early detection and proactive health management among staff.

The eye check-up booth recorded strong participation throughout the program, with many employees taking the opportunity to assess their vision status for the first time. Dr. Nilani provided thorough examinations and clear explanations, allowing attendees to understand their visual conditions and the importance of follow-up care where necessary.

A visitor, Dr. Ganagiswari from PKD Mu’alim, shared her experience after undergoing an eye screening at the booth:

“Hi, saya Dr. Ganagiswari. Saya daripada PKD Mu’alim lah. So, hari ni kami datang ke sini untuk event kat sini. So, nampak ada booth. So, saya pun nak check lah. Tak pernah check mata. So, first time check. And good thing is, saya check lah hari ni. Sebenarnya, mata ada problem kot. I never knew. Something good. Never knew. So, I think beneficial lah. Patutnya, kalau datang, check lah. Sebabkan saya check hari ni, saya tahu sebenarnya mata saya ada problem. So, kalau tak further investigate, mungkin mata saya akan rosak. So, it’s like something new lah. Saya tak pernah tahu kata ada masalah mata.”

Translation:
“Hi, I am Dr. Ganagiswari from PKD Mu’alim. We came here today for the event, and when I saw the booth, I decided to get my eyes checked. I’ve never done an eye screening before, so this was my first time. It turned out to be a good decision because I found out that I actually have some vision issues, which I never knew about. I think it is very beneficial. Anyone attending should get checked. Because of today’s screening, I now know that I have an eye problem, and without further investigation, my condition could worsen. This is something new for me, as I never knew I had any eye issues.”

Her feedback reflected the value of providing accessible specialist services in workplace events, particularly in raising awareness about undiagnosed conditions.

The Selgate eye screening booth ultimately became one of the key highlights of Proton Men’s Health Day, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee wellbeing and the importance of preventive eye care. (Tudneg Navi)
