PDRM Pahang Busts ‘Geng Bhai’, Cargo Robbery Case Totaling RM659,000 Uncovered

KUALA LUMPUR, El Sky News – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Pahang Contingent has achieved a major success by dismantling an organized crime syndicate, known as ‘Geng Bhai’, which was active in cargo robbery and heavy vehicle theft cases in the state.

In a series of operations carried out, six local men suspected to be key members of the group were arrested at several separate locations across Peninsular Malaysia.

Cunning Tactics in Cargo and Heavy Vehicle Robberies

According to PDRM sources, Geng Bhai is suspected of being responsible for several robbery cases involving estimated losses of up to RM659,000.

The group’s main modus operandi focused on targeting high-value cargo, including trailer trucks carrying iron and PVC cables belonging to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Additionally, they were also found to be involved in the theft of heavy vehicles such as lorries (trucks) and forklifts used in construction and industrial operations.

“The arrests of these suspects are believed to solve a series of robbery and theft cases that have been reported in Pahang and several neighboring states,” said a PDRM spokesperson.

Six Individuals Including a Parolee Detained

All the arrested suspects are aged between 24 and 56 years old. More worryingly, the group’s leader is reportedly a parolee, which highlights the brazenness and organization of their criminal operations.

The arrests were made simultaneously in key areas outside of Pahang, including Senawang (Negeri Sembilan), Klang (Selangor), and Bentong (Pahang).

The police are currently conducting a detailed investigation under the Penal Code Sections related to gang robbery and theft, and are investigating their involvement with other syndicates or parties who might be involved in the resale of the stolen goods.

PDRM urges the public to continue to cooperate and channel information to curb criminal activities in their respective areas.
