The initiative specifically targets chronic vacancies in “critical subjects,” including English Language, Mathematics, and Islamic Education.
The recruitment drive is a strategic response to unexpected vacancies nationwide, which threaten to disrupt the learning continuity of thousands of students. In an unprecedented move toward inclusivity and speed, the MOE has opened applications to non-education graduates who possess relevant subject expertise, provided they meet specific professional criteria.
“Our priority is to ensure that no classroom is left without a qualified educator when the new session begins,” a senior official from the Ministry stated. “By opening the doors to graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, we are not only filling seats but bringing fresh perspectives and specialized knowledge into our schools.”
Under this special scheme, successful candidates will undergo an intensive pedagogical training program to equip them with essential teaching methodologies before being deployed to primary and secondary schools across the country.
