As Josephine explained, “We are one of the vendor doing the sleep apnea service, including the diagnostic as well as the management for the sleep apnea patient in most of the general hospital in KL and Selangor.” Beyond sleep therapy, the company also supplies audiometry equipment to hospitals and general practitioners.

“We are doing together with our medical principal, our supplier, to improve the existing devices to more matching with Malaysia market,” Josephine stated. This initiative is driven by the need to align with Malaysia’s specific healthcare policies, which often differ from European or other international markets.
Reviving Public Awareness Post-Pandemic
One of the primary challenges identified is the shift in public health education since the COVID-19 pandemic. GS Med plans to leverage social media and strategic collaborations to bridge this gap.
“Our mission is to bring more handy, more technology for Malaysia market so that sleep apnea can be managed… As long as we manage it as earlier as possible, like we can do the sleep study to check whether we have sleep apnea or not,” she added, highlighting that early detection is key to managing the condition effectively.

Unlike many large-scale distributors, GS Med prioritizes a “one-to-one touching” approach. This personalized strategy has led to significant growth through organic recommendations.
