MACC Leaves Alleged Plot to Topple Government to Police for Transparent Probe

The issue surrounding allegations of a plot to topple the government and undermine national stability has been fully handed over to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for a thorough and transparent investigation.

Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Azam Baki, stressed that the matter is serious as it involves national security and sovereignty. He emphasized that investigations must be conducted professionally and based strictly on evidence.

Police have confirmed that a report has been lodged and that investigations are being carried out under Section 124B of the Penal Code, which relates to activities detrimental to parliamentary democracy.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) stated that any party found to be involved must be held accountable under the law, regardless of status or influence.

Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation while investigations are ongoing.
