Lamborghini CEO Signals More Off-Road Supercars Could Be Coming

Kuala Lumpur, – Lamborghini may develop more off-road-capable sports cars in the future, according to the company’s chief executive Stephan Winkelmann.

The Italian supercar brand is considering expanding the concept after the success of the rugged Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, a limited-edition model designed to handle rough terrain.

Winkelmann said the idea of combining supercar performance with off-road capability still has potential and could inspire future models from Lamborghini.

The Huracán Sterrato, launched in 2023, was Lamborghini’s first production car specifically built to tackle gravel, sand, and other challenging surfaces while maintaining the brand’s signature high-performance characteristics.

The company has also been enjoying strong business momentum. Lamborghini reported record global sales in 2025, marking its fifth consecutive year of growth as demand for luxury performance cars remains strong worldwide.

Analysts say the off-road sports car concept reflects a broader trend among luxury carmakers seeking to diversify their line-ups and reach new buyers who want both performance and versatility.

While Lamborghini continues to explore new concepts, the brand is also balancing innovation with tradition, maintaining its focus on high-performance engines and hybrid technology as it navigates the transition toward electrification.
