KUALA LUMPUR – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has vowed to take strict legal action against any party spreading “baseless slanders” linking its leadership to a so-called “corporate mafia” scandal.
The party’s Secretary-General, Fuziah Salleh, issued a stern warning today, stating that PKR views these viral allegations with extreme seriousness. She emphasized that the party will not hesitate to defend its reputation against fabricated claims aimed at misleading the public.
The RM10 Million Claim
The controversy erupted following claims by a businessman named Victor Chin, who alleged that a PKR Member of Parliament had requested RM10 million from him in October 2025. According to Chin, the funds were purportedly meant to resolve his legal issues through a network he described as a “corporate mafia.”
Chin claimed he had already paid RM9.5 million of the total amount and is now demanding a full refund after the promised legal resolution failed to materialize.
Denial of Involvement
In a related development, PKR Vice-President Datuk Seri R. Ramanan has categorically denied any involvement in the scandal. He dismissed allegations that he received millions of ringgit in shares from Chin, calling the accusations “absurd and groundless.”
Ramanan, who was linked to the case through the pseudonym ‘Mr. R,’ pointed out that large-scale share transactions are strictly monitored by authorities like the Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia, making such clandestine deals impossible.
Maintaining Integrity
Fuziah Salleh reiterated that such accusations are often desperate attempts by individuals to deflect from their own wrongdoings. “KEADILAN remains committed to upholding the integrity of its leadership and ensuring that all claims are handled through legitimate channels based on facts, not perceptions,” she added.
The party has urged all citizens to be responsible in sharing information and to avoid disseminating unverified claims that could disrupt the nation’s political stability.
