KUALA LUMPUR – Popular Malaysian singer Najwa Latif and her husband, rapper Akwa Arifin, have delighted fans by sharing the first photos of their daughter, Medina, on social media.
The reveal was part of a heartfelt “throwback” post where the couple reflected on their journey to parenthood, exactly one year after discovering they were expecting.
In an emotional Instagram post, Akwa Arifin recalled the moment he found out Najwa was pregnant. At the time, the couple was busy with Hari Raya preparations and house cleaning.
“To be honest, it never crossed my mind that you were about to share that news. Perhaps it’s because we had just gone through one of the most difficult phases in our lives,” Akwa shared, referring to the couple’s previous experience with a miscarriage in December 2024.
He expressed deep gratitude for Najwa’s strength and sacrifice. “A year later, you are standing here holding our child in your arms. The transformation in one year is truly Subhanallah (praise be to God).”
The couple’s daughter, Medina, holds a special connection to their relationship timeline:

- Special Date: Her birth coincided exactly with the couple’s third wedding anniversary.
