Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 Units Available at Carro Malaysia From RM150,800

KUALA LUMPUR, June, 2026 — Carro Malaysia is offering two certified Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 units under its latest promotional campaign, giving buyers a chance to own one of the most recognisable hot hatches in the market from RM150,800.

According to Paul Tan, the two units are listed as part of Carro’s Car of the Month promotion, which runs from June 3 to July 31, 2026. Buyers can enjoy savings of up to RM7,000 on selected Golf GTI models during the campaign period.

The first unit is a 2024 Volkswagen Golf GTI IQ.DRIVE 2.0 AT, registered in February 2025. It has recorded 31,508 km on the odometer and is finished in grey, giving it a more understated look while still retaining the GTI’s signature sporty styling.

This newer unit is priced at RM168,800 after a RM6,000 discount, down from its original price of RM174,800. Monthly payments are listed from RM1,850, while buyers can reserve the car from RM1,688.

The key highlight of this model is the IQ.DRIVE package. The system adds Volkswagen’s driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping support, making it suitable for buyers who want both GTI performance and extra convenience for daily driving or long-distance highway use.

The second unit is a 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI 2.0 AT, finished in the GTI’s more iconic red colour. This car has covered 62,071 km and is positioned as the more affordable choice for buyers looking to enter Mk8 GTI ownership at a lower price point.

The 2022 Golf GTI is now listed from RM150,800 after a RM7,000 discount, compared with its original price of RM157,800. Monthly payments start from RM1,653, while reservation can be made from RM1,508.

Both units are powered by Volkswagen’s familiar 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. The formula remains one of the main reasons the Golf GTI continues to be seen as a benchmark in the hot hatch segment.

The Golf GTI has long appealed to drivers who want a balance between performance, practicality and everyday usability. Unlike many performance cars that sacrifice comfort or space, the GTI keeps the hatchback format while offering sharper handling and stronger driving character.

For buyers considering a used performance car, Carro says every certified vehicle undergoes a 160-point inspection. The full inspection report can also be reviewed online before purchase, helping buyers check the car’s condition before committing.

Carro also offers flexible financing options, including in-house and bank financing, allowing buyers to spread the cost of ownership depending on their budget and approval status.

In addition to the Car of the Month discount, Carro is also running its Football Fever promotion until July 12, 2026. Buyers of a Carro Certified vehicle can receive an additional two-year warranty for the engine and gearbox, while 100 buyers will also receive RM200 Touch ‘n Go credit and a RM100 petrol card.

The two Golf GTI Mk8 units target slightly different buyers. The 2024 Golf GTI IQ.DRIVE is better suited for those who want the newer car with lower mileage and more driver assistance technology, while the 2022 Golf GTI offers a more value-focused entry point into the same hot hatch platform.

The promotion may appeal to Malaysian buyers looking for a practical performance car that can be used daily while still offering the fun-to-drive character associated with the GTI badge.

With the campaign running only until July 31, 2026, buyers interested in either unit will need to act before the discounts end. As used performance hatchbacks with strong demand, both Golf GTI units may not remain available for long.

Carro’s latest offer gives Malaysian buyers two different ways to own the Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8: a newer and more tech-focused 2024 IQ.DRIVE unit, or a more affordable 2022 model with the biggest discount of the pair.
