Aminuddin Urges Negeri Sembilan Voters to Choose Stability Over Power Politics

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 – Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has called on voters to base their decision in the upcoming 16th state election on government stability and administrative performance rather than political power struggles.

Speaking at the launch of the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan manifesto, Aminuddin said the election would determine more than which political coalition forms the government. He described it as an important decision that would shape the state’s future direction.

He urged voters to decide whether Negeri Sembilan should continue moving forward under a stable, principled and trusted administration or return to a political environment that changes according to shifting power calculations.

Aminuddin said the Pakatan Harapan-led state government had spent the past eight years strengthening the economy, improving governance, expanding public welfare programmes and creating more opportunities for young people.

According to him, the administration’s record demonstrated that a stable government with integrity could deliver meaningful changes for the state and its residents. He stressed that the coalition was returning to voters with experience and measurable results rather than relying solely on campaign promises.

He said the coalition’s manifesto represented a wider vision to advance Negeri Sembilan and continue programmes that had already been introduced during its period in government.

Aminuddin also argued that voters wanted an administration capable of uniting communities instead of encouraging political division. He said the public had become more politically mature and expected leaders to fulfil their responsibilities rather than simply make attractive promises.

He added that the political stability developed over the past eight years must be preserved to ensure that the state’s development agenda can continue without disruption. This includes the implementation of the Negeri Sembilan Maju 2045 vision, which is intended to guide the state’s long-term growth and improve residents’ well-being.
