Perak-Born Entrepreneurs Win Top Honours at Golden Bull Awards 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 — Two entrepreneurs born in Perak have earned major recognition at the Golden Bull Awards 2026 after building successful careers in Malaysia’s corporate sector and leading a locally established company with international operations.

Datuk Seri Mossco Woo Chin Teck and Subha Sathiamoorthy Maraiah were honoured during an awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Mossco received the Super Golden Bull Award 2026, while Subha was presented with the Golden Bull Inspirational Entrepreneur Award 2026. The awards were presented by Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Steven Sim.

Both recipients came from modest family backgrounds in Perak before rising to senior leadership positions in the business world. They currently serve as managing director and chief executive officer of a Malaysian company operating internationally.

The company is involved in several strategic industries, including construction, energy, oil and gas, renewable energy, telecommunications, infrastructure and mining activities in Kelantan and Sabah.

Mossco attributed the company’s growth to strong trust between business partners, consistent commitment and dedication in carrying out every responsibility.

He said the organisation’s long-term ambition is to develop another successful Malaysian company capable of securing a place on the global Fortune 500 list.

The goal reflects the company’s intention to strengthen its international presence while demonstrating that Malaysian businesses can compete with major corporations on the global stage.

Subha, meanwhile, said strategic planning, innovation and the adoption of new technologies had become central elements of the company’s working culture.

She explained that the organisation follows a straightforward principle of planning its work carefully and executing those plans with discipline. Its leadership team also continuously explores emerging technologies and innovative approaches to support future growth.

Looking ahead, the company plans to focus on developing telecommunications technology and infrastructure in Sabah.

It also intends to expand green energy projects and fibre-optic networks through cooperation with the Sabah state government. These initiatives are expected to improve connectivity, strengthen digital infrastructure and support the transition towards more sustainable energy solutions.

In Kelantan, the company is working with the state government to develop a specialised mining-testing laboratory for rare earth elements, commonly known as REE, and gold.

The proposed laboratory is expected to become the first facility in Malaysia and Southeast Asia equipped with dedicated standard operating procedures specifically designed for REE testing.

Such a facility could play an important role in improving the accuracy, transparency and efficiency of mineral testing while supporting the responsible development of Malaysia’s mining sector.

The Golden Bull Awards recognition is expected to motivate the company’s leadership to continue strengthening its market position and extending its operations internationally.
