Parti Wawasan Negara to Appoint 24 Division Coordinators in Perak, Expands Membership Drive

KUALA LUMPUR, AUGUST 2026 — Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) is preparing to appoint 24 division coordinators in Perak as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s organisational presence and expand its membership base across the state.

Perak Wawasan Coordinator Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin said the appointments would be made by the party’s Supreme Council in the near future. One of the coordinators’ main responsibilities will be to recruit and register as many new members as possible, either through online registration or manually by completing membership forms.

The development follows a special Wawasan delegates’ meeting held on Friday, August 7, 2026, which approved a motion to amend the party’s constitution, particularly provisions involving its organisational structure at the central, state and divisional levels.

According to Zainol Fadzi, the proposed constitutional amendments are currently awaiting approval from the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (RoS). While waiting for the regulatory process to be completed, the soon-to-be-appointed division coordinators will begin handling the intake and registration of new members.

The move signals Wawasan’s intention to establish a broader grassroots network in Perak by creating a more organised divisional structure and increasing direct engagement with potential supporters.

Zainol Fadzi also encouraged people across Perak to join the party, saying Wawasan wants residents of the state to participate in what it sees as a new chapter in its political development.

Significantly, Wawasan has also opened its doors to former leaders and members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) who may be interested in joining the party. The invitation comes at a time of shifting political dynamics among opposition parties and their respective memberships in Malaysia.
