The rumours began after Shuib shared a recent photo of his wife on Instagram, which prompted netizens to comment that they noticed what appeared to be a slight “baby bump.”

It all started when Shuib posted a sweet photo of Watie accompanied by a caption hinting at changes in her daily routine. In the post, he mentioned that Watie now prefers to sit in the passenger seat and often falls asleep—quite the opposite of her usual habit of being the one who drives.

Watie previously shared that she experienced a miscarriage of her first child with Shuib in May. The heartbreaking experience, she said, left her emotionally scarred, and she prefers to remain cautious before making any official announcement. The couple had affectionately named their lost child Bintang (“Star”).

That painful chapter, she added, taught her to be more careful and patient. However, Watie expressed gratitude for the prayers and well-wishes from fans.

“I don’t want to deny the news, because words are prayers. I just hope everyone prays for the best,” she said. “Perhaps before this, Allah didn’t grant me the blessing yet because I wasn’t ready to be a good mother. Maybe now, He wants me to appreciate the children I already have.”

Her heartfelt statement further fueled hopes among fans that the rumours might indeed be true.
