The Noble Hearts of Gaza’s People: When Disaster Victims Offer Aid to Fellow Victims

GAZA | SUMATERA, El Sky News – In a situation shrouded by prolonged conflict and humanitarian crisis, the residents of the Gaza Strip have once again proven that the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity knows no borders or challenges. The action of one Gaza citizen has become a global inspiration story.

While their own territory faces a series of attacks and blockades that threaten daily life, their concern for the catastrophe afflicting their brethren in Indonesia remains steadfast.

An individual named Abu Ahmad, a resident of Gaza living under the shadow of military aggression, has come forward to donate US$1,000 (or an estimated RM4,700 – RM5,000 based on current exchange rates) to assist the victims of floods and landslides in Sumatera, Indonesia.

This significant contribution, given the crippled economic situation in Gaza, was channeled through the Indonesian Committee for Solidarity with Palestine (KISPA).

The Sincerity Behind the Figures

What is truly touching is the message conveyed by Abu Ahmad, which illustrates the deep humility and resignation behind his noble action. He expressed a sense of shame, as if the amount was insignificant compared to his desire to help.

“I apologize, because this amount is too small according to my means. We pray to Allah to forgive our brothers and sisters there, protect them from harm, and heal their wounds. There is no power and no strength except with Allah,” said Abu Ahmad.

This sincere statement highlights the spiritual and moral strength of the people of Gaza, who are themselves in dire need of immediate assistance but still prioritize the suffering of others.

A Symbol of Malaysia-Indonesia-Palestine Solidarity

News of this donation has spread widely, not merely as a financial report, but as an astonishing narrative of humanity. It reminds the world that the relationship between Palestine and the Nusantara region (including Malaysia and Indonesia) is based on strong religious and humanitarian ties.

Abu Ahmad’s noble action serves as a beacon, signifying that even in the most difficult circumstances, caring and prayer are the most valuable currencies. It is a message to us all: That giving is not only about abundant wealth, but about a heart willing to sacrifice even in the midst of scarcity.
