Linda Hashim Questions Beego’s Absence in Court, Demands Explanation on Death Issue

Kuala Lumpur, El Sky News – Popular actress, Linda Hashim, today expressed her disappointment and frustration after alleging that her ex-husband, Mohd Aszerul Nizam Abdullah (Beego), used a sensitive excuse to avoid appearing at the Shah Alam Syariah Court. The scheduled proceedings involved claims for mutaah (consolatory gift) and child maintenance filed by Linda.

Linda, 41, claimed that Beego was absent from court on the grounds of attending his uncle’s funeral. However, the actress of the film Mami Jarum insisted that she has strong evidence that contradicts the reason given by her ex-husband.

“His reason was the death of an uncle. I understand, that is a sensitive matter. But, I have solid proof showing that he did not even attend the funeral,” said Linda when met outside the court premises today.

Linda is of the opinion that using the excuse of death is an irresponsible act if it is solely intended to delay the court proceedings, which have been ongoing for a long time.

“I just want justice for our children and a quick resolution. Why the need to use such a reason, if it is indeed false? This not only violates ethics but also makes a mockery of the court process,” she added.

Furthermore, Beego’s alleged absence without a reasonable, court-confirmed excuse is seen to have further complicated the process of claiming mutaah and child maintenance that Linda has been fighting for since their divorce last March.

The court has set a new date for the proceedings, and Linda hopes that Beego will give his full cooperation in the next session to ensure the rights of their children are protected according to Syariah law.

As of now, Beego’s side has yet to issue any official statement in response to the allegations raised by Linda Hashim.
