Teen Found Dead in Taman Menglembu Impiana Drain, Police Say Fall from Height

IPOH, March, 2026 — A 19‑year‑old man was found dead in a drain near a field at Jalan Menglembu Impiana 12 in Taman Menglembu Impiana Adril early yesterday afternoon, in what authorities are describing as a sudden death.

According to Ipoh district police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah, police received a report of the incident at approximately 11:45 am and rushed to the scene, where the victim was found lying on his back in the drain, with visible blood around his mouth.

“Initial inspection of the scene did not reveal any signs of struggle or elements of foul play, suggesting that the circumstances surrounding the incident may not be linked to criminal activity,” ACP Muhammad Najib said in a statement.

The victim was swiftly identified as a 19‑year‑old local resident. Investigators promptly arranged for the body to be sent to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for a post‑mortem examination. The hospital’s forensic report found that the cause of death was a head injury consistent with a fall from a height, rather than any external violent act.

Police have currently classified the case as a sudden death report, and further investigations are underway to confirm the sequence of events that led to the fatal accident. ACP Muhammad Najib reiterated that detectives are analysing all available evidence and interviewing nearby witnesses to establish a complete timeline of what happened prior to the young man’s death.
