Malaysia to Host Grand Eid al-Adha Festival from May to July 2026

Kuala Lumpur — Malaysia is set to welcome tourists with a series of vibrant Eid al-Adha themed festivals running from May to July 2026. The country is organizing various cultural events, entertainment programs, and shopping carnivals, especially targeting visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

One of the main highlights is the Kuala Lumpur Festival 2026, scheduled from May 6 to 31, 2026. The festival will feature more than 80 events across 25 different locations throughout the capital city. Visitors can enjoy public art installations, music concerts, creative performances, and community activities that showcase Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity.

According to Tourism Malaysia Dubai Director, Mohd Faharuddin Hatmin, the festival reflects Malaysia’s spirit of blending culture, creativity, and togetherness.

“This festival is designed to offer a complete holiday experience for families, from entertainment to cultural tourism,” he said.

Upcoming Events

In addition to the Kuala Lumpur Festival, Malaysia has lined up several other exciting events:

•  Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (June 12–21, 2026)

•  Perak Multisport Festival

•  Various city entertainment and cultural programs across different states

The peak period will be the Malaysia Mega Sale, running from June 15 to July 31, 2026, offering massive discounts at shopping malls, boutiques, and retail outlets nationwide.

This initiative is part of Tourism Malaysia’s strategy to strengthen the country’s position as a top destination for GCC travelers seeking a mix of shopping, entertainment, and quality cultural experiences.

With this lineup of events, Malaysia aims to deliver a richer and more memorable holiday experience for visitors during the Eid al-Adha period in 2026.
