Mojtaba Khamenei, ‘Designated Target’, to Sign Trump Deal via Secret Courier System

Kuala Lumpur — Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, currently in hiding as a “designated target,” will approve any nuclear deal with the United States through a secret network of physical couriers in a highly unusual diplomatic arrangement.

According to counterterrorism experts, any agreement between Washington and Tehran must be personally approved by Khamenei via handwritten messages delivered by couriers. This is because he has been in hiding for nearly three months following the attack that killed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on February 28, 2026.

Dr. Omar Mohammed from George Washington University described the situation as unprecedented in modern international diplomacy.

“Khamenei is a designated target. Every time his location is known, it becomes a strike coordinate,” said Mohammed. “The courier system is not a temporary measure — it is how he is currently running the country.”

Khamenei is reported to have suffered serious injuries and permanent disabilities from the attack. He also lost his wife and child in the incident. Even senior Iranian officials reportedly do not know his exact whereabouts.

This unusual communication method has caused significant delays in the ongoing negotiations. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently acknowledged that Iranian responses take much longer than usual.

“Their responses do take longer,” Rubio told reporters during a visit to India.

The proposed pact aims to end the conflict that erupted on February 28, 2026. The U.S. is reportedly willing to ease sanctions if Iran makes major concessions on its uranium enrichment program. However, Iranian officials have stated that no deal is imminent.

Experts warn that any final agreement will heavily depend on Khamenei’s survival, as he is unable to appear in public.

This extraordinary setup adds another layer of complexity to the high-stakes negotiations between President Donald Trump and Iran — where one side is effectively negotiating with an invisible partner.
