Omoda C4 Survey Appears in Malaysia, Hinting at Possible SUV Launch Soon

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2026— Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia appears to be testing local market interest in the Omoda C4 after a sponsored Facebook survey featuring the upcoming SUV was spotted online.

The survey invites Malaysian users to share their views on the Omoda C4, including whether they would consider buying the model based on the image shown in the advertisement.

According to PaulTan.org, the survey asks several consumer-related questions, including marital status, monthly income, current vehicle, main vehicle usage, key buying priorities and whether respondents intend to purchase an SUV within the next six months.

The survey also asks users about the SUV segment they are interested in before presenting the key question: whether they would buy the Omoda C4 as shown in the photo.

While the survey does not confirm official launch timing, pricing or final Malaysian specifications, it strongly suggests that Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia is evaluating buyer interest before introducing the model locally.

The Omoda C4 has been expected for Malaysia since earlier this year and could enter the market as a sportier-looking alternative to the Chery Tiggo Cross.

The upcoming SUV is expected to be offered with 1.5-litre turbo petrol and hybrid variants. The petrol version is expected to use a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the hybrid model is set to feature a dedicated hybrid transmission.

In terms of design, the Omoda C4 carries a more aggressive appearance compared with many conventional compact SUVs. It features sharp body lines, angular styling, a prominent front profile, X-shaped signature lighting, a black front graphic, lightning-style tail lamps and 18-inch two-tone turbine-style alloy wheels.

Inside, the SUV is expected to offer a large vertical touchscreen, a slim digital instrument display, dual phone holders, wireless charging and physical control buttons. One of its more distinctive interior touches is a flip-up red starter button cover inspired by supercar-style design.

The model could help Omoda strengthen its presence in Malaysia’s competitive SUV market, especially among younger buyers looking for a bold design, modern technology and a choice between petrol and hybrid powertrains.

However, pricing will likely play a major role in determining the Omoda C4’s success in Malaysia. The compact SUV segment is already crowded with strong rivals, making value, after-sales support, fuel efficiency and equipment levels key factors for potential buyers.

For now, Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia has yet to announce the official launch date, estimated price range or full specifications for the Malaysian-market Omoda C4.
