Elderly Couple Dies After Motorcycle Hit By Perodua Bezza In Tanjong Karang Crash

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 – An elderly couple died after the motorcycle they were riding was involved in a road accident with a Perodua Bezza at Kilometer 52 of Jalan Klang-Teluk Intan, Tanjong Karang, on Tuesday evening.

The incident reportedly happened at around 5.30pm while the husband and wife were travelling to town. Both victims were rushed to hospital following the crash but were later confirmed dead.

Initial information suggests that the accident may have occurred when the motorcycle entered the route suddenly before being hit from behind by the car. However, the exact cause of the crash is still subject to further investigation by the authorities.

The tragedy has drawn public attention due to the loss of two lives in a single accident, especially involving elderly road users. The crash also serves as another reminder of the importance of caution, visibility and safe distance on busy roads, particularly along main routes frequently used by motorcycles and cars.

Following the incident, the remains of the couple were safely laid to rest at the Kampung Sungai Terap Muslim Cemetery.
