Shop Inside Kuantan Petrol Station Destroyed In Early Morning Fire, No Victims Reported

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 – A shop located inside a petrol station on Jalan Sultan Abdullah in Kuantan was completely destroyed in a fire early this morning. According to the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department, no victims were reported in the incident.

A spokesperson for the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department said an emergency call was received at 3.54am. A fire engine from the Kuantan Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene about four minutes later to begin the operation.

The fire involved the shop area inside the petrol station, with the level of destruction estimated at 100 per cent. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control at 4.42am.

A total of 11 personnel from the Kuantan Fire and Rescue Station were involved in the operation. The response team was supported by one Fire Rescue Tender, one water tanker and one Rapid Response Vehicle.

Authorities said the cause of the fire and the total amount of losses are still under investigation. Further details are expected to be determined after the fire department completes its assessment at the scene.
