2027 Nissan Z NISMO Pricing Announced With Six-Speed Manual and 420-Horsepower Twin-Turbo V6

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 2026 – Nissan has officially released pricing details for the 2027 Nissan Z in the United States, confirming that the updated sports car will begin at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$44,480.

At the top of the range, the track-focused Nissan Z NISMO will start at US$67,260 before destination fees and optional equipment. The announcement provides buyers with a clearer picture of how the refreshed model will be positioned when it reaches dealerships.

The most significant change for the 2027 model year is the introduction of a six-speed manual transmission for the Z NISMO. The high-performance variant had previously been offered only with a nine-speed automatic gearbox, despite strong demand from driving enthusiasts for a manual option.

Nissan is offering the manual and automatic versions at the same starting price, allowing customers to select their preferred transmission without paying an additional premium.

The manual-equipped Z NISMO features components developed specifically to handle the model’s increased performance, including revised clutch hardware and a shorter-throw gear lever intended to provide faster and firmer shifts.

It also includes automatic rev-matching technology, helping drivers execute smoother downshifts during performance driving.

Power continues to come from a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. This places the NISMO above the regular Nissan Z models, which generate 400 horsepower from the same basic engine architecture.

Beyond the new transmission, the 2027 Z receives several mechanical and visual updates. The standard model features refreshed exterior styling, including a redesigned front section, revised wheels and additional colour choices.

The Z NISMO receives more extensive performance upgrades, including enhanced suspension and steering calibration, aerodynamic body components and powerful brakes designed for demanding road and track use.

Its braking system includes components derived from the Nissan GT-R, helping improve cooling performance while reducing unsprung weight. The NISMO is also equipped with forged 19-inch RAYS wheels and upgraded four-piston front brake calipers with large two-piece drilled rotors.

Inside, the 2027 Nissan Z retains its driver-focused two-seat layout. Available features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a nine-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a Bose premium audio system.

The car also offers NissanConnect services, remote vehicle functions and a wireless smartphone charging system.

The arrival of a manual Z NISMO is expected to strengthen the model’s appeal among enthusiasts who prefer greater involvement behind the wheel.

It also places the car in closer competition with other high-performance coupes, including the Toyota GR Supra, Ford Mustang Dark Horse and BMW M2.

While the NISMO commands a substantial premium over the standard Z, its additional power, specialised chassis tuning, upgraded brakes and more aggressive styling position it as the flagship of Nissan’s two-seat sports-car range.
