Louis Vuitton and Singer Unveil Two Bespoke Porsche 911s at Monterey Car Week 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, AUGUST 2026 — Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton and California-based automotive specialist Singer Vehicle Design have joined forces to create two one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 restorations, bringing together high fashion, traditional craftsmanship and analogue sports-car engineering.

The collaboration was officially revealed in Monterey, California, on August 12, ahead of major events surrounding Monterey Car Week. The two vehicles are a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic and a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo. Both are based on Porsche Type 964 chassis but follow very different design themes.

The project marks a significant moment for both companies. Singer says it represents Louis Vuitton’s first co-branded product, while also being an unprecedented co-branded collaboration for the automotive restoration specialist.

What eventually developed into two complete automobiles began with a much smaller request: Singer approached Louis Vuitton about creating a dashboard clock for one of its reimagined 911s.

Louis Vuitton’s watchmaking division, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, developed a detachable mechanical timepiece inspired by the House’s Tambour watch. The clock can be removed from the vehicle and used as a desk clock.

That initial idea quickly expanded into a much broader design project involving the cars’ instrumentation, upholstery, controls, luggage, fashion accessories and other functional details. Louis Vuitton and Singer spent around a year developing elements of the instrument display alone, including the speedometer, tachometer and gauges.

The first vehicle, the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, is finished in a distinctive combination of saffron, cobalt blue and yellow, colours closely associated with Louis Vuitton’s visual heritage.

Its lightweight carbon-fibre body is paired with a specially designed roof rack capable of carrying travel equipment including luggage, skis or a surfboard, reinforcing Louis Vuitton’s longstanding “Art of Travel” philosophy.

Inside, the cabin is extensively upholstered in natural-toned leather inspired by materials historically used in Louis Vuitton luggage. The seats, front luggage compartment and engine bay incorporate diamond-pattern detailing influenced by the malletage found inside traditional Louis Vuitton trunks.

Other subtle touches include handcrafted metal controls, yellow stitching, Louis Vuitton Monogram flower details and a rear engine grille featuring a geometric interpretation of the letters L and V.

Mechanically, the Classic uses a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat-six engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Carbon-ceramic brakes provide modern stopping performance, while a speed-activated rear wing is integrated into its lightweight carbon-fibre bodywork.

The second vehicle adopts a significantly different character.

The Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo was conceived with Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections. It takes the form of a cabriolet finished in Calcaire Lutétien white, a shade inspired by the limestone associated with the Parisian landscape.

Its design incorporates natural leather, gold-coloured detailing and extensive woodwork influenced by classic motorboats. The rear luggage area, for example, uses a teak-inspired wooden deck, continuing the vehicle’s nautical theme.

Wood is also featured inside the cabin, engine compartment and front boot, while the gearshift trim references the drawstring shape of Louis Vuitton’s iconic Noé bag.

At the centre of the dashboard sits another bespoke Tambour-inspired clock, complemented by a matching 40mm Tambour Automatic watch produced in ceramic and yellow gold.

The Classic Turbo is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with air-to-water intercooling. Like the Classic, it uses a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, while selectable driving modes and carbon-ceramic brakes add modern performance capability.

Louis Vuitton’s involvement extends far beyond the cars themselves.

The fashion house created dedicated capsule collections for each vehicle, including driving jackets, gloves, footwear, helmets, watches, key holders and fitted luggage.

For the Classic, accessories include luggage designed specifically for the car, along with a handcrafted surfboard featuring wood marquetry and a pair of skis. The clothing and travel items follow the same saffron, cobalt and yellow palette used throughout the vehicle.

The Classic Turbo receives its own collection inspired by the cabriolet’s white, wood and gold aesthetic, including a tailored silk driving outfit, specialist luggage and accessories designed to fit precisely within the vehicle’s storage compartments.

The approach highlights Louis Vuitton’s long connection with automotive travel. The company was already creating specialised trunks for automobiles in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and in 1909 members of the Vuitton family even developed a sports car as a showcase for the House’s products.

Singer, founded in California in 2009, is known for restoring and extensively personalising classic Porsche 911s for individual owners. The company operates facilities in California and the United Kingdom, with the Louis Vuitton Classic restored in California and the Turbo Cabriolet developed in England.

The collaboration arrives during a significant year for Singer, which was also selected as the Central Feature marque at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Rather than treating the cars as simple fashion-branded editions, Louis Vuitton and Singer approached them as complete design projects in which engineering, materials, functionality and craftsmanship were developed together.

The result is a pair of highly distinctive Porsche 911 restorations that connect Louis Vuitton’s heritage in luxury travel with Singer’s reputation for creating modern interpretations of classic analogue sports cars.
