JS Solar Secures RM18.05 Million Solar and BESS Contract at AEON Mall Seremban 2

KUALA LUMPUR, AUGUST 2026 — JS Solar Bhd has secured an RM18.05 million contract for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works involving solar power and a battery energy storage system at AEON Mall Seremban 2.

The contract was awarded by GSPARX Sdn Bhd to JS Solar’s wholly owned subsidiary, JS Solar Sdn Bhd. GSPARX is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd through TNB Retail Sdn Bhd.

The project will include a building-integrated photovoltaic system and rooftop solar installation with a combined capacity of 4,652.5 kilowatt-peak (kWp). It will also feature a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 3,856 kilowatt-hours (kWh).

The combination of solar generation and battery storage is expected to support more efficient energy management at the shopping mall while strengthening the use of renewable energy infrastructure in commercial developments.

Construction is scheduled to take place over six months, beginning on August 19, 2026, with completion targeted for February 19, 2027.

The new contract adds to JS Solar’s renewable energy project portfolio as demand for solar installations and energy storage systems continues to grow across Malaysia’s commercial and industrial sectors.

JS Solar shares closed 2.6% lower at 18.5 sen on Monday, giving the company a market capitalisation of approximately RM60.1 million.
