Bukit Aman Forms Special Task Force to Probe Fatal Police Shooting in Durian Tunggal, Melaka

Melaka, El Sky News — Authorities at Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have formally taken over the investigation into the fatal shooting of three men by police in Durian Tunggal, Melaka. The shooting incident occurred in the early morning of 24 November 2025 near an oil-palm plantation in Durian Tunggal. During a police operation targeting armed robbery suspects, three men believed to be part of a syndicate dubbed Geng DT were shot dead after a confrontation with officers.

Among them were men aged 24 and 29. They were suspected of involvement in at least 20 break-ins and robberies across Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Selangor since 2024, with estimated losses around RM 1.3–1.35 million.

According to official police statements, during the operation one of the suspects allegedly attacked a police corporal with a machete prompting officers to open fire in what was described as self-defence. The corporal reportedly suffered serious injuries.
