Child Killed, 11 Injured In Three-Car Collision Near Muadzam Shah, Pahang

KUALA LUMPUR,MAY,2026 – A child was killed while 11 other people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on the Segamat-Kuantan Highway near Muadzam Shah, Pahang, early Monday morning.

The accident happened on May 25, 2026, and involved two cars and one multi-purpose vehicle, with each vehicle carrying four people at the time of the crash. The incident has since been classified as a road tragedy due to the death of a young boy and the number of victims injured.

According to a spokesman from the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department, the department received an emergency call at 1.12am before a team from the Muadzam Shah Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arriving at the location, firefighters found that several victims were involved in the crash, including a child who was trapped inside one of the vehicles. Rescue personnel then carried out an operation to extricate victims from the wreckage.

The young boy who was pinned inside the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team from the Health Ministry. His body was later handed over to police for further action.

The other 11 victims who sustained injuries were taken to hospital for treatment. Details on the extent of their injuries were not immediately disclosed in the initial report.

The crash has drawn public attention because it involved three vehicles and a total of 12 victims. Accidents involving multiple vehicles often create more complex rescue operations, especially when victims are trapped and emergency teams need to assess several vehicles at once.
